For more than 25 years I have accompanied innovative entrepreneur-led companies to grow economically successful and increase their value through digitalization. Therefore, I know the requirements of growth companies as well as those of strategic und financial investors.

As a long-standing managing director and CFO of the strategic investment holding company Axel Springer Digital, I helped to build and develop Axel Springer's digital investment portfolio. The investment portfolio with more than 150 direct majority and minority investments, including leading digital companies such as Steptone, Idealo, Awin (Zanox), airbnb or N26 as well as renowned VC funds such as Lakestar or Project A Ventures, today contributes more than 80% to the Group's operating result. Within a few years, active and systematic investment and portfolio management has increased the value of the portfolio to around €7 billion, making it one of the most successful corporate digital portfolios in the world. In the course of the ongoing portfolio optimization, numerous highly profitable exits were realized, including runtastic, carwale and motortalk.

With Intershop, the pioneer of e-commerce software, I previously supported one of the most successful IPOs in Germany and supported the company in its international growth in various finance functions.

However, I am not only familiar with periods of growth, but have also experienced a number of crises and accompanied restructurings.
